Carey joined the firm in  2012.  His practice focuses on general liability and medical malpractice defense in Oregon and Washington state and federal courts. In addition, Carey has experience defending architects and engineers in construction defect claims, advising and defending municipalities in matters involving state and federal constitutional issues as well as statutory and regulatory schemes, defending products liability claims, and defending attorneys and law firms in professional liability claims.

Carey earned his J.D. from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College.  While studying at Lewis & Clark, Carey served as Managing Editor of Environmental Law.  He also holds a masters of science and bachelors of science from the University of Oregon.
